Hi Travis,

Take a look at your IF statement. Are you using the right variable?
Also (I'm also a newbie) I believe If and else statements should always have {}.

first - don't feel embraced.

You had a question, you asked, you got an answer. Life is good.

It is quite important to realize that asking questions is good.

thanking for the answer is very good -- there are so many good folks here it is amazing.

thank you for thanking your help.

You should have seen some of the questions I came up with when I started off
Nothing embarrassing in asking questions. It is always fun to revisit your questions some months down the line. If you think Oh wow, did I really not know this or did I really think this way, its a very good indicator that you are learning.

when posting actual code, please use the code-tags. It will preserve your formatting and color code it, making it all much easier to read. You can read about them here.

It is certainly good practice to use curly braces (and I would recommend using them) but they are not compulsory if the following clause only contains one statement.
