When communicating via the wireless add on board, am I likely to find a large amount of noise interference from machinery in close proximity?

I think that will depend on the machinery and if it is electrically supressed or not

Thanks for your reply. Would a higher baud rate make the communication more stable or less stable?

Dependent on electrical noise levels a higher baud rate would probably be less stable, but you could always use some form of error checking
