I want to create a pop up dialog box. This box will be created when an exception occurs, so its not press a button on a page and a box will popup, but the boxwill pop us when the JSF ExceptionHandlerWrapper captures an exception.

At the moment i am using

I guess i need to create a popup frame containing a dailog box that can be added to the FacesContext.

Any links to some examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tony

When you do "context.addMessage()" and assuming you hava a "<h:messages>" tag somewhere in your page, those messages will go in that section.

However, when you mentioned dialog or popup, are you referring to javascript alert type or JSF type (eg p:dialog in primeface)?
