Deploy war files in jboss ec2 instance

I am working with Amazons Web Service and currently i am trying to upload my war files that i've scp'd from my local machine to the ec2 instance. they are currently sitting on the ec2 instance, but i am confused on how do i get the jboss to grab them and upload them to jboss and then run the war files. The war files are sitting in their own directory, so i can move them anywhere.

My question is, how do I have those maven war files get placed into my jboss folder and have it be deployed there so that when I start my jboss server, I can go to the jboss management console through my browser and see the war files uploaded there and can run them.

I already have jboss installed on my ec2 instance and maven as well. Does anyone know how to do this? Any information or guide is appreciated!

thanks in advance!

Which version of JBoss AS have you installed? Irrespective of that, if you have pre-built .war file(s) then all you have to do is place them in the deployment folder of JBoss AS. For AS7 or higher, it's JBOSS_HOME/standalone/deployment folder. For any lower version of JBoss AS, it's JBOSS_HOME/server/<servername>/deploy folder.
