As there is a lot of requirement of spring framework these days, i thought to try my hands on this framework. I have little idea about how the entry is done in xml files and how does it map to our controller etc. I am curious to know from which book i should start. I've started to read Expert Spring MVC and web flows by Seth Ladd and Keith Donald. I want to know,if studying this book is sufficient to know spring framework or i need some other section that are widely used in the industry. As per my analysis, i came to know web flow is more in demand with acegi security. Am i right?
Can anyone help me in learning spring framework as per market need?
The market need varies from project to project. I don't use SpringMVC but using Spring for things like transaction management in my service layer and DAO support. Spring is modular so you only use what you need and ignore the rest.
Spring in Action (Manning) and Pro Spring (APress) are probably the two best books to get on the subject. Make sure you get the latest editions. Spring is much more than just the MVC part. Some good, some bad. Like I said, figure out your needs and just use those parts.
