hello this is aashi...i am preparing for ocjp..but a little confuse between ocjp6 & ocjp7 what certification should i prefer....can any help..?

OCPJP 7 is newer than OCPJP 6 so you should go for a 7.
The only drawback is that being OCPJP 7 requires you to pass two exams.
You need only one exam to be OCPJP 6.

i have keith sierra .

should i also need to refer some other books..?

If you go for OCPJP 6, Sierra & Bates is all you need (except practicing ;) ).
If you go for OCPJP 7, learn from:

S G Ganesh & Tushar Sharma
