You don't learn a programming language through watching videos (certianly not exclusively). Java is a big subject; start with Oracle's Java Tutorial.

Maybe you missed the "Getting Started" section. Learning programming will involve a lot of programming, and that tutorial has lots of code you can tinker with. If you'd rather have your hand held at every step along the way, then some introductory book may be better suited, maybe something like Head First Java.

Hello Cassius Clay!

i've started learning java 3 months ago, and i can assure you that "head first java" is really a great book to getting started. (it worked for me, at least).

good luck

Mohamed,
Head First Java is a good book to start with java. And for OCA JP7 exams you could read OCA JAVA SE 7 Programmer 1 CERTIFICATION GUIDE by Mala Gupta and mock exams from Whizlabs OCAJP 7 Exam Simulator(http://www.whizlabs.com/ocajp/ocajp-7-mock-exam.html) would be sufficient to prepare for OCA JP 7 exam.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
