How to run the JForum

Dear all
I have down the binary of JForum , and I have deploy the JForum to the webapp of tomcat,
and I have setup the MYSQL5.5 in my pc, set the password as root,
Than I run the tomcat, In the console of tomcat show many error message ,Such as db can't connect.
Why? Where is the trail of JForum ?

When you start up JForum the first time, it should ask you for your database information. Did you get prompted for it?

Also, can you share the exact error messages?
