I wanted to make some changes to a jpg but when I tried to save it it told me it could only save in it's own format!!! What is the use of that?

Maybe we shouldn't use Draw though?
But I think it can be done: File/Export or something like that.

I just tested File/Export and it worked for saving a jpeg.

Yep, file > save as is just about a few things and export is about all the other stuff.
That's OOo -- it's easy when you know how!
There are a wad of formats to export to, including SVG and EPS, scalable vector formats. And you can edit EPS (maybe SVG too?) in Illustrator--it comes through really great. You just have to set the right options in Draw when the window pops up--can't remember offhand but I think it likes Level 2 better and be sure to mark color because default is gray.
Anyone getting the book should hit "Turning Off Annoying Features" first, and then just hit the index or TOC.

Nice, I knew the answer without even using the program I haven't installed it yet. I should have though, but being short of time, I hope to do it later.
