slow binary CVS commits

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
A question for any of you CVS monkeys out there... have any of you had/seen/heard of any issues with CVS commits of binary files being real slow? I'm setting up a CVS repository here at work and it's been real sluggish to commit all the .pdf files while it absolutely flies through all the .java, .html, .xml etc. stuff. We've tried treating them as both binary and as ascii files, but to little avail. There also seems to be intermittent issues with .jpg files. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it...
