I'm getting a null pointer exception when trying to instantiate a FileAppender using log4j 1.2 on windows 2K.

On the line that calls the constructor I get the following stack trace. I've included the code below to show that I verfied the file exists. What Am i doing wrong???

never mind. Someday I will learn to type
logfile != logFile,
sigh
