Changeable GUI component names by reading from .property files

Hello everyone, i recently designed a custom jface dialog with lots of components, for the ease of changing the component names, i stored all the component names in a .property file, im reading the names from the .property file when i create the components, is this a standard practise?? if not are there any other ways to achieve this?
