Hi

i am new to Web services. I am creating a web service using JAX - WS and deploying on tomcat. The client is a DOT Net client which will use my web services for processing. The client wants it to be asynchonous type messaging.

Have i to add any code or anotation on my server side code to make the mesaging async. or shall i only have to generate the wsdl file and give it to the client for him to genereate the corresponding bindings using wsimport.

help is appreciated.

My requirement is that when i recieve a request from teh client, i will take that request and start processing. there are 4 steps in taht processing. and after each step i wil have to send a status message back to the client. I think i can do the following in my code above example

I will take the request. and as and when the process completes i will take the control to on of the methods similar to HelloWoldImpl from which i can call the callback method to send data back to the client.

is there any way where i can create a topic in tomcat and make my client subscribe it. So that as and when i need to send a message i can send it throught the topic??

You can try to integrate Active MQ with Tomcat to accomplish the Messaging functionality.

should I make any changes to my wsdl file to make the client subscribe the topic.?
