Different behavior for different files on save action?

Hi All,

I have implemented file download functionality .

It shows different behavior for different files.

For .xls or .xlsx it gives me option to save , save as and open . But for PDF or txt files it directly opens them and never ask those options ( save , save as and open) .

I am using Struts 2.

Is it default behavior for those files or do i need to do anything at the code level to handle it ?

Thanks in advance ..

Nothing to do with Struts 2. Depends on your browser settings.

In Firefox, please check - Options --> Applications
