I'd like to know if Kanban conflicts with other Agile methods.

Hi,

Great question.

No it doesn't conflict at all. On the contrary; it complements and enhances other processes (agile or not).

In fact, it's one of the sweet spots of kanban. It can help you improve if you've reached a plateau in your current process. I know of a lot of teams adding the kanban principles to both Scrum and XP.

There's a guy called Corey Ladas that even made a hybrid method called ScrumBan (yeah, you can probably guess what that's made up of ). Read more about it here: http://leansoftwareengineering.com/ksse/scrum-ban/. In reality it's about going from Scrum (an iteration-based method) to a more flow-based approach with a lot of the values from Lean incorporated into the process.

Hope this helps
