Axis-2 handlers Vs AOP

Apache Axis-2 handlers are similar to AOP. Both are adding all the cross cutting concerns(logging/exception/security...) during compile time/run time. If i use use both Axis-2 and AOP in m my J2EE stack, which is the best option for cross cutting concerns ?
