Hello Folks,

I have cleared OCEWSD6 with 81 % two weeks before ( sorry I am little late to share this ). Below were my steps for preparations:-

1- Following JavaRanch as and when get time.
2- Ivan Notes
3- MZ notes and mock
4- Java Web Services Up and Running
5- ePractize Labs

Though exam was little tough compare to my previous certifications (SCBCD5, SCWCD5) but some questions were straight and it was manageable.
I was preparing from quite some time but I was unable to complete studies due to work load but I believe regular preparation of 4-6 months should be sufficient to prepare this.

Thanks a lot guys...

By the way, I am preparing for the exam too and I am planning to take it next year.
I have a few questions, just like most people:
1. In Java Up and Running book, which chapters and which sections I should ignore ? I want to focus on those which are helpful and ignore those which are not related to the exam.

2. Was XML syntax asked in the exam? I understand that knowing XML is important. Do I need to know XML in details ? I know Ivan's notes describe XML in details in Chapter 1. But I am not sure if XML syntax is asked in detail in the exam.

Does ePractize Lab was helpful?

I'm planning to take this exam soon and considering ePractize. Could you share your thoughts.

Noni ,
Yes. Another rancher said the ePractice Lab is helpful. I am going to get one before my exam.

I purchased both ePractize Lab and Enthuware; the former was useless, the later isn't exceptional but better. A good indication is that the ePractize question bank was created in 2011 when the exam was in Beta stage and hasn't been updated. Also, there are some wrong answers but they don't refund your money even if you report to them.

2- Ivan Notes

Are you referring to the notes for v5 of the exam here? Also I wish someone include that in the exam links page.

Yes. Ivan's note only has version 5. But it is helpful for version 6.
I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
