When launching the promo I looked at the Manning web page and saw the book was renamed from "Sonar in Action" to "SonarQube in Action". This makes sense since Sonar itself got renamed.

I'm curious if you were able to do a search and replace or if someone had to look through the book changing things/checking on the search and replace.

Honestly, we didn't handle that part. Our intrepid copy editor, Tiffany Taylor, handled that part. I suspect she ran a find/replace and eyeballed each instance, but clearly I can't swear to that. I will say that we had to re-take every screenshot that showed the logo.

It looks like Tiffany missed a couple. In the Table of Contents, Part 2 is titled "Settling In With Sonar" and, Appendix A is titled "Instal and configure Sonar". BTW, the word Install is missing an 'l' in the ToC as well.

In addition, on the book's page http://www.manning.com/papapetrou/, there's a listing of the ToC with the same issues (including the missing 'l'), and under "Resources" there's a PDF titled, "Introducing Sonar".

Hoping this helps with QC,
Burk

You're welcome. Thanks for being here this week.

More information: I just opened the two docs available in the 'Resources' section, "Introducing Sonar" and "Where Do Violations Come from?" (notice that 'from' isn't capitalized) and they both refer to Sonar, not SonarQube, and show the older book cover "Sonar In Action". In addition, "Introducing Sonar" appears to be an earlier version of Chapter 1.

By the way, what do you prefer to be called?

Thanks,
Burk

I'm sure you aren't heartbroken that you didn't have to do it!
