By default, HTTPClient uses HTTP/1.1, how can I switch to HTTP/1.0?

This is actually pretty easy, try something like this:
HttpClient client = new HttpClient(); HttpMethod method = new GetMethod("http://www.apache.org/"); method.setHttp11(false); client.executeMethod(method);
