Hi All,
My name's Vijay. I have been working with java technologies for 6 years now. I did a few certifications in the past with all your help. I currently want to get myself certified with Java Web Services. This is one area i have never had a chance to work on. I read the entire Monsol-Haefel web services book end to end excluding the UDDI part. I understand the concepts but i still havent grown confident.

I have only 15 days to get certified. I have all my time for it. I want to know which certification do i go for. I see OCP WSD and the OCE WSD. Is OCE meant to be an advanced exam or if i prepare for web services in general i should be able to take it.

I have the following material with me right now,

Monsol Haefel - Web Services
Restful Java Web Services - Jose Sandoval
Martin Kalin - Up and Running
And of course the notes recommended by all of you here, Mikalai Zaikin,

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Vijay

I had a feedback from a rancher that chapter 1-5, 13-14, 20-24 of RMH's book are helpful. Another rancher said we don't need to read this book at all.
You can read this book when you have more time to prepare for the exam.

I am reading Java Web Services Up and Running. Some code examples don't work. I am still struggling with those examples.

MZ and Ivan's notes are the most helpful notes according to most ranchers.

In addition to that, I read Restful Java with JAX-RS by Oreilly. The code examples are great and it is a good start to learn more about Rest.

I will buy ePracticeLab later as some ranchers said this is helpful.

Thank You Very Much for the Info Himai. I will get started with Up and Running and their Notes. All the best for your preparation. Let's go get certified

I found the latest MZ study guide on his website at http://java.boot.by/ocewsd6-guide/.

Do you know where i can get Ivan's latest study guide.?

Thanks
Vijay

Version 6 exam notes from Ivan is not available, however, version 5 notes is well written and useful for version 6 exam as well.

I am wondering if any one found good material on topic "Exposing EJB as REST-ful and SOAP based web services". In this aspect, EJB 3.1 is considered.

I asked on the forum that this is still good for version 6.
