Hello,

I am new to Javaranch. I have already gone through Core Java concepts by referring 'Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Study Guide' by Katherine Sierra and Bert Bates.

Now I want to learn about Java EE 5 and 6. Request anyone to suggest some good reference materials for studying the same.

Thanks in advace.

Hello!

Why do you need to learn JavaEE6 if there is already JavaEE7.
Oracle tutorial on JavaEE7 is here.

JavaEE is huge and cumbersome as for me. As I know the most popular frameworks are Spring and Struts and hibernate.
But you will need to learn much more and learn and learn a lot new things. Coding is not primary skill in JavaEE.
Juniors in java are required to know what static, final, abstract means and when to use it . JavaEE won't give you that understanding!
