Neither the button appears
I want it to show
System.out.println("I am finding a customer");
As I am getting the topPanel's btnDone

Please post an SSCCE, as you have been told several times.
Please put some debugging print instructions in the code where you are adding the button, to confirm its details at the time of creation.

This is a SSCCE, it is compilable.

No, it is not an SSCCE. The first S means short, which that example is not. Nobody will help you if you persist in posting so much code.
