Restoring using Time Machine

The primary hard drive in my Mac Mini died. I have a repair shop replacing it, and they promised to install a working version of OSX, but maybe not the same version I used to have. Everything is backed up using Time Machine (yea!), but I've never gone through a restore before. What do I need to know? I mean, it's a Mac; I wouldn't be shocked if I just plugged in the Time Machine drive and it did everything for me, but I always like to be prepared.

It's not quite that automated, but almost: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11192

Time Machine has saved my butt on more occasions than I care to count!

Well, my butt is officially saved, and it was so easy! It's only my fear of being dismissed as a fanboy that keeps me from gushing.

Great feeling, right?
