I am new to j2ee, i want to know what are the scopes ? and how many of them are available in a j2ee web application ?

Also note that J2EE is obsolete terminology - it has been called "JEE" for years. If you have a tutorial, or other documentation, that refers to "J2EE" - throw it away and get something recent.
