This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Right now I'm really focused on passing the certification(on a really tight schedule) and will then go for the Programmer II exam. So should I read just according to the syllabus or should I complete every topic in the book? I mean I know reading the whole book would be very effective(which I will in the coming days) but I want to finish the certification asap. So can I be sure just to read according to the syllabus given on the oracle website(the link that I pasted above) or should I read everything for "just in case". Please help me out.
