Hello,

um a new comer for using jasperReport...
I want to create subreport, when I compile and
run the masterReport and the subReport using iReport, it was
work(I using connection expression --> $P{REPORT_CONNECTION}). But when I use my own code in jsp page, to compile and
view the result in pdf, I got blank result for my subreport.
Is it related with connection expression or datasource expression ?? what kind of connection or datasource expression I have to use??
Can somebody help me for my problem please

best regard
maya

Hello,

I'm a new user of jasperReport...
I want to create subreport, bat I do't know how!?! Should I use the "connection expression"? And how it work? I was try everything.. bat no success. Could you help me please? Please send me an example of two reports whitch work in master detail (sub-report) regim. How to use $P{REPORT_CONNECTION} in "connection expression"? Is "REPORT_CONNECTION" a parameter? What it mean, and how can I use it?

Just one thing more.. I want to create a static report with two pages. But I don't know how.. Please help me.

Thans.

First thing to do
Create a parameter on iReport,
Second thing to do
In the subreport tool, instead of typing the name of the subreport, type the name of the parameter, the parameter will hold the path of the subreport. (e.g. /home/myhome/public_html/reportsrc/report.jasper)
Third thing to do
From your program, set the correct value to the parameter that you created in the firt step, and then invoke the report, remember this value must contain a valid path to the jasper file

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
