My web.xml is:

com.menutab.MenuTab exists and it is a Servlet:

On "localhost:8080/MenuTab/" I am getting:
HTTP Status 404 -
type Status report
descriptionThe requested resource () is not available.
GlassFish Server Open Source Edition

Your help will be greatly appreciated,

Is "MenuTab" the name of the servlet AND the name of your context? If so, your URL should be "http://localhost:8080/MenuTab/MenuTab", but I suspect your context is something else entirely in which case it should be "http://localhost:8080/<context>/MenuTab".
