eclipse errors

I'm having problems with my Eclipse 3.0. I did install it and is working fine. I did shut down my machine and came back in the morning to realize that eclipse is not starting and here is the error i see in the log. Any help is appreciated.

You're using JDK 1.3 to run Eclipse 3, which won't work (at least, not without the addition of some XML libraries, and even then, some features will be missing.) Use 1.4.

It says here that we need JDK 1.3
http://eclipse.org/eclipse/faq/eclipse-faq.html#users_3 . I'll try with 1.4

It also says

Yes, it worked fine when I pointed it to jdk 1.4.

Thank you for your help.
