I've downloaded JForum and trying to get familiar working the configurations. The address field of my browser is defaulting to the Tomcat favicon icon and I want to change it. Is it possible to change it?
Assuming that JForum runs as the ROOT web app, dumping favicon.ico into the root directory of the server would take care of it.
If it's just one web app of several, you'd need to take the approach mentioned by Robert and change the header template.

What do you mean by that?

Not proven, but my experience is that, of the possible forms of websites, forums often have limited theming , an indication of which is a lack of a Favicon. Favicons are often described in tutorials and the like as a quirk, or a "slick" or "professional" touch. I once wrote to a forum asking them to add one (which they did the next morning) because I couldn't distinguish their forum from other sites. So I rate them. As to why forums, in my experience, are like this, that's speculative, a separate thread. I was upvoting tiredness...
