Pig and number format

Hi all,

I would like to modify the number format in an European one rather than an American format. For example, instead of 1,000(thousand) I would like to get 1000! Has anyone an idea if I can do that directly in Pig?
I guess, Pig is extracting my data in this format for some reason, maybe for the hadoop configuration or whathever!

Take care.
