Hi
I reviewed a book about XML and I think that parts of XML that i should read from that book is :
1 - attributes and elements
2 - namespaces
3 - XPath ( for @ and / parts that i have seen in XML files in Android projects . for example "@+id/my_button" )

My Question : Is this true ??? and Should i learn XPath for learning / parts and @ parts of Android XML ( for example "@+id/my_button" ) ??? Should i learn another parts of XML ???

Thanks for your help

While knowing XML is pretty much a must for any developer these days, what you need for Android is not particularly challenging. #1 - yes (anyone should know about those), #2 - knowing what namespaces are used for, and how, is good, but for Android you don't really need that, #3 - again, it's good to know what XPath in general is used for, but it's not needed for Android (those @ and / have nothing to do with XPath, they're just naming conventions used by Android).

I honestly wouldn't spend your time reading a book on XML for Android, it is one of the simpler parts of Android IMO. I just learned it as I went along. You'd be better off reading how the various LayoutParams work for each the ViewGroups and how layout_weight works and such.
