I am using backtrack 4 in VMware,on my physical machine am using HP pavillion DV6 with (Atheros AR9285 802.11 b/g) wifi adapter. After disconnecting wifi connection from my network on the physical machine i connect to internet through Realtek ethernet adapter.

I have selected connection NAT through VMware settings and the issue is that when i rum "ifconfig or iwconfig" it doesnt show my IP address. also, when try to do /etc/init.d/networking start to says no devices found and Wlan0 fails to come up. please tel me what i need to do ?
