I've been away from JSF for a couple of years...

Is there a leading implementation at this point for working with data tables, charts and graphs?

I have been looking at ICEFaces, Oracle ADF and Primefaces?

But what about JFreechart itegration, is it possible?... Any opinions on Javascript charting APIs like highcharts?

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert

For charts, I would say JFreecharts. For JSF, I have used Primefaces and it has many useful features beyond the standard JSF tags. Yet making the look and feel right can be a pain at times (overriding Primefaces CSS stuff).

Anyway both Primefaces and JFreechart would just be a library within your JSF app so integration shouldn't be a problem.

Hi, thank you for the response.

So, exactly how does jfreechart integrate with JSF and how many components are supported?

Thanks,
Robert

JFreechart itself in its raw form doesn't interact with JSF. You can stuff JFreechart tags into a JSF View definition just like you were doing it on a JSP.

If you prefer to use a JSF custom charting tag that wraps JFreechart, you'd have to read the instructions for that custom tag.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
