TOGAF 9 weekend in-person training

Folks:

I'm looking for TOGAF training that is provided by a trainer over a weekend (may be two) in person, based out of Hyderabad India.

Its very encouraging to see many people getting TOGAF certified and posting their experiences on this forum. I've 16+ years of IT experience with lots of IBM Websphere EAI-SOA certifications under my belt. I personally feel that TOGAF certification is a cut above everything else in terms of challenging our skills/understanding from an EA standpoint.

Thanks.

This is the official list of TOGAF training courses. You want to pick one titled "TOGAF 9 Combined Level 1 and 2".

While the class is offered in your city, it is only listed for during the week at this time. Jayesh took a weekend one (in the US). Maybe they offer a weekend only one online?

Thanks Jeanne. I recently got to know from my employer that they will not sponsor this activity. Hence, I purchased the study material from OpenGroup website for both parts of the exam. Seems pretty comprehensive. Will have to pay for the exam anyway from my funds and I feel its worth it.

Please let me know if you are aware of any repository of case studies that I can practice for Part 2.

Regards.

Part 2 is made up of scenarios. (Which are much shorter than a case study.) There are some samples online for free. See my blog post for a table listing them if you haven't already.

Jeanne:

The info looks very good. I'll go through it at home as my work blocks most of the links. Also, I registered for Part 1 as I want to spend enough quality/elaborate time to take up Part 2 as I want to understand the crux behind the sample scenarios, etc. For the info of everyone, if you buy Study material from OpenGroup website, they have given a promotion code that will take off 35% from Part 1 exam, if taken in India. I'm enjoying this learning experience with the only caveat that we have to remember lot of things, atleast to begin with.

Thanks.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
