Is @WebServiceRef not allowed in standalone JavaSE WebService Clients?

Whenever I am trying to inject it in my client, I am getting the below compile-time error:
"annotation type not applicable to this kind of declaration"

Thanks and Regards, Souvik

Read Ivan's notes chapter 4. There is a StringProcessor example there. You can deploy your client @WebServiceRef using GlassFish.

Do you mean you got it working in a standalone client?

No, we cannot get @WebServiceRef client to work as a standalone client. It works when it is deployed in GlassFish.
