it is my last day before christmas, 30 mins before I can go home, i have done my timesheet, cleared my desk, and the bug fix is far to large to bother starting and then leaving for 2 weeks, so how to fill that time. I sit next to my scrum master

Hum the 12 Days of Christmas. After five minutes, the scrum master will send you home early.

Happy Holidays!

Make and commit a zillion changes. Far too many to test and validate. Push to the public repository just seconds before you walk out the door.

I've had this happen to me at least twice

Ah yes, the old "check it in and go home" trick. Everybody's favorite.

To do it properly, you have to go directly to the airport and fly a long way, preferably to another continent an ocean or more away.

How to fill in the time at work? Everybody else surfs the web -- or are you blocked off from that?

Edit: I see you aren't, because you posted here. Carry on surfing.

Drink beer with your teammates!

That's what I did.

Happy holidays!

Write a resignation letter, because if your scrum master doesn't let you leave when you don't have work to do, you should find a better job :p

I'm guessing that you actually spent your last 30 mins staring at JavaRanch wondering why nobody was replying to your post with amazing ideas?
