What happened to smallworlds?

I found a review here on the ranch for an application we used back when I was a student: http://www.javaranch.com/toolshed/thesmallworlds/thesmallworlds.jsp

The application seems to not exist any more as well as the website. Does anyone know what happened to it? Also, if anyone can suggest something else to help me get orientated with a large JEE application and it's components?

Regards,
Ten

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
