According to Java SOA Cookbook, p.303, it says "No need to write webservices.xml deployment descriptor. This file used to be mandatory. Now, instead of a single web services-related descriptor file, annotations handle all of that work."
So, does it mean we don't need to study the structure of webservices.xml for the version 6 exam? If so, I can skip the first part of chapter 9 in Ivan's notes.

You don't need to know the webservices.xml for the EE6 version of the exam.
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
