Congratulations to Margaret! She has completed the Servlets section of the Cattle Drive. She's the first to complete this section since it has been updated to use Tomcat and advancements in Web Programing.

Margaret, I've PMed Katrina to get your Moose Badge awarded.

Thank you, Marilyn. I am very excited to have conquered the third Moosehead badge. I started learning Java so I could write servlets for the databases I use at work. Learning took a lot longer than I thought but it's been fun. Everyone here has been helpful and the nitpickers are great. When I research the assignments it is interesting to see how other people worked toward the Cattle Drive solutions.

I have set up an internal Tomcat server at work and have built several servlet projects that pull data from our SQLserver so our production people can track jobs in progress around the shop though the web pages. Previously tracking has been done by generating paper reports. I enjoy using this technology to modernize the system.

One Moosehead to go !

P.S. Has anyone in Javaranch ever put the Mooseheads on their resume?

There are pros and cons about doing that ...

http://www.coderanch.com/t/4452/Cattle-Drive/Cattle-Drive-resume#27438 (This is a bit more general ... The thread is about putting the Cattle Drive on the resume rather than the mooseheads)

Congratulations Margaret Gillon I understand the feeling of satisfaction when you truly understand a concept and practice it well. It gets added when you earn an award for it
