Hi all,
i use jcifs login method to login my system.For windows 2000,xp it works fine. But when some one try to login using windows 98 pc it gives following error. all the machine connect to the network and using same domain.

pls tell me the issue!

i've never used jcifs.smb, so i probably won't be much help here.. but does this package have any kind of requires statement for proper usage?

my only guess is that nt/2000/xp has additional security items being passed from the client, that doesn't exist in 98. just a guess though.

I found some discussion on some similiar sounding problem, and a possible solution.

This issue isn't really related to anything to do specifically with JSPs though, so I'm moving this thread to the "Other Java APIs" forum.

That site was just a temporaray repository for jCIFS before an official release would be made at jcifs.samba.org. Whatever enhancements are announced there would eventually have found their way into the official distribution, so if the current release still has this problem, I'd say that that message described something different from your problem.

Either way, jCIFS is a third-party API, so I'm moving this thread over to Other Open Source Projects.
