This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
For various reasons that have nothing to do with this forum, I need to make my classes and methods final. I was wondering if Hibernate could handle that, so I created this example to test it out. Hibernate handles it just fine, with no special support.
This is identical to my inner classes example, except everything in the persistent classes is declared final. I didn't have to do anything to get Hibernate to work with it.
It wasn't clear to me whether Hibernate would handle finality, so I put this example together to answer the question. Perhaps somebody else will have the same question, and will find this useful.
