I am a new developer and want to get this certification to put something on my resume.
Gone through 7 Chapters of Kathy Sierra SCJP 6 guide. And could get >80% questions correct in just one read, in practice questions after almost all chapters. But could get 65% correct in generics chapter. And after giving the practice questions, I solve all the doubts which lead to incorrect answers, so like getting almost 100% for similar types of questions next time.
Now my question is the Practice Questions in this book are easier than the real exam, similar to real exam or harder than the real exam? So I can plan for further preparation.
I used scjptest.com, but it seems to be really really easy. I could answer many questions correctly in generics chapter even before starting preparing for it.
So how should I proceed to get a minimum of 90% score? I still have 10 days to prepare.
I really appreciate your confidence. The real exam is comparatively tougher than any practice exams. The K&B book is good for SCJP 6, so you could explore more to attain great score in real exam. You may try attending other mock exams available on ScjpMockTests or try any other commercial training simulator on web.
I think kathy sierra is very good book to prefer. the xam is little tough then the practice questions given in the book. you can also go through Khalid A. Mughal book.

Thanks @koilraj, and @Aditi.
And which free simulators are good to get a taste of the REAL exam, with that difficulty level? I know scjptest.com but it feels easy. Haven't gone through examlab.org yet....
I just want to practice hard questions, It's better if practice questions are harder than real exam questions , but should not be easy.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
