Hello, does anyone have experience configuring security with WOW! from PlanetJ Corporation? I ask this because I am only familiar with OWASP/ESAPI assymmetrical encryption and am trying to understand conceptually how the two approaches are different.

Many Thanks,
Michele

Hi Michele, You can download a free developers copy of WOW here : https://www.planetjavainc.com/wowstandard.htm

Security is covered in the deployment guide : http://www.planetjavainc.com/WOW%20Deployment%20Guide.pdf It uses the same stuff you've likely been using already. Security framework relies on regular expressions for validation rules which restrict certain inputs and values. The validation rules can be modified and tools exist to help developers test the regular expressions with their necessary inputs. You also configure keystore/truststore for SSL.

Best to try it out for yourself.
Roger

I notice initially the documentation and videos refers to AS400s and MetaData. I am a programmer who has little experience with AS400s. Could you help me understand why they keep talking about AS400s and MetaData? I really am kinda struggling with this concept. -- Thanks, Michele
