Hi,

I've been posting Hibernate examples, and I found a very subtle bug in one of my postings (hey, I said I'm still learning Hibernate...).

I would like to edit the erroneous post, but I can't find the "edit" button that I had previously used to clarify and/or update my posts. Could somebody please tell me how I should go about updating the post? The post in question is my Simple Hibernate Tree Example.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, you're only allowed to edit your posts for a short period of time, then they're frozen. But as a moderator I can edit it, so if you want to let me know what needs to be fixed, or PM me with the details I will do that for you.

I think it would probably be better to quote the offending line, explain that it was a bug, and tell us what the correction was. That would (I think) add to the value of the post no end.

Hi,

I have updated the Tree example.

Mr. Campbell Ritchie: I understand what you are saying about posting and explaining the correction, and its a great suggestion. As I explained elsewhere, I was hoping to keep each posting focused on just one simple topic, without any extraneous clutter. Toward that goal, I handled the situation in a slightly different fashion, but I think it still does what you wanted. Please look at my edited post (I am guessing that you can see it because you are a "sheriff"), and let me know if it provides the value that you were hoping to get.

Thanks,
Chris Rygaard
