How many of you would like a book having service tier and DAO tier design covered in detail? This could be helpful in cracking the assignment where the DAO and Service tier needs to be created. What all books we have at the moment which can educate us?

Hi Amritendu,

In my opinion there is already a book available "Real World Java EE patterns, rethinking the best practices reloaded" which gives in-depth knowledge in those areas. In fact a book has to give us complete knowledge instead of just cracking the Architect exam.

Thanks,
Kumar.

Hi Naresh,

Thanks for writing. Please look at this link: http://www.coderanch.com/t/622592/books/book-Java-Spring-Hibernate-Data

Do you think this book satisfies the areas you will be looking at when purchasing a service tier design book? If not can I have some feedback on the areas missing in the book. I think the book from Adam Bien is more of a patterns book which is his opinion on the Entity-Control-Boundary Pattern (ECB), a variation of the Model-View-Controller Pattern.

I am planning to release the book within 3 months so your opinion counts.

Regards,
Amritendu
