Dear All,
Nice to meet you after sometime.

I have a problem where i need to connect to a datasource through a dedicated server in JBOSS.

Below is my code in cib-ds.xml

I have tried different combinations like below.

But still , I get a org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException always.

The JBOSS version i am using is 4.2.2 and oracle database version 10g.

Also , since I'm connecting to a single database , i think i need not go for XA if i'm right.

Any suggestions guys?.

I don't work with Oracle, but according to their docs, I think the URL should be:

So your next-to-last URL was the closest, but you should have dropped the "//"

Hi Peter,
I just resolved it by adding the connection URL just like entry in tnsora file with service name.
Thanks for your reply .
