If I am going to take the Java 7 SE certification what all is involved in the testing process? I know you find a testing center and pay to take the exam but how often is the exam available to take? Is it scheduled at specific times or is it able to be taken when you are ready?

I would imagine it varies by each testing location. I think i scheduled a time with them a few days beforehand.

Welcome to CodeRanch!

As Fred says, it varies by testing center. Sometimes there is a slot a few days before. Sometimes all the slots are filled up weeks in advance. Especially if you want a weekend slot.
