Oracle just told me they've extended this exam until at least May...

From Oracle:

The "Java EE 6 JavaServer Faces Developer Certified Expert Exam" Certification Exam (1Z1-896) will be available February 15, 2014 in beta testing at the greatly discounted rate of $50 USD. Passing this exam results in the new certification: Oracle Certified Expert, Java EE 6 JavaServer Faces Developer.

Here is a "sneak peak" at what will be covered on the exam:

Section 1: Essentials of JSF2.0
Section 2: JSF Navigation Model
Section 3: Data Conversion and Validation model
Section 4: Event Handling
Section 5: Data table and Composite Components
Section 6: Custom Components
Section 7: Security
Section 8: Test, Package, and Deploy a web application
