please i am new at android development and i want my app to communicate with a php web service which should give it data queried from a mysql database. now if i send values to the service via http post to a specific url from my app how do i recieve the data result values. please point me in the right direction or material or link in which i can learn from..thanks

That has actually very little to do with Android: You can use standard Java networking using HttpUrlConnection. Also see http://android-developers.blogspot.de/2011/09/androids-http-clients.html
