1) That one book doesn't exist yet so the comparison doesn't really make sense.
2) I wonder how many pages are in each. Does your book cover in twice as much depth (because the price is the same) or does the publisher just charge $50 for all books. (I know the answer to this, but you asked for impressions given the information you supplied.)

Thanks for the thoughts... and to provide information on the page numbers:

OCA/OCP Java SE 7 Programmer I & II Study Guide
~1200 pages + additional chapters in e-format

OCA Java SE 7 Programmer I Study Guide
~500 pages

And in regards to the publisher's study guide book series, from what I assume, all of the books are fifty dollars.
